Hey guys, it’s Christmas time! I managed to finish my boyfriend’s Advent calendar just in time yesterday at noon. It’s not that easy to work straight on a project when being interrupted by a screaming – but still oh so lovely and cute – baby again and again. Nevertheless, I really like the result. The brown paper bags (how to fold them) are a fantastic basis to present the beautiful Advent calendar number tickets by Feine Billeterie – I already liked them before but now, as I see them as a part of the finished project, I really do love them! Every single ticket is designed beautifully, it was so much fun to use them!
I used one of the branches I actually collected for another project to hang some of the smaller packages on the wall and decorated the bigger and heavier ones on the top of a shelf around a vase I found at the flea market in the beginning of 2012. The vase has not been used very much yet so I am happy that it goes great with the two Ilex branches which again create a frame for the packages hanging on the wall.
The numbers are attached to the bags with reindeer Washi Tape with silver polka dots. But because some of the packages, especially the bigger ones, still looked unfinished, I stamped stars on it and am really satisfied with the look of the packages now! To create a more festive atmosphere I added a chain of lights and that’s it!
I guess my boyfriend likes it and I am a lucky girl who got an Advent calendar as well, so I was able to open the second “door” today, too. Hopefully I will also make it to decorate our Advent wreath today, I am a little bit behind time this year, but Lotta definitely comes first, so if I won’t make it – who cares?
Have a great first Sunday in Advent, everybody!
Love, Johanna
